The United States Antarctic Program (USAP) was formed in 1959 with the purpose of studying Antarctica’s unique environment. The goal of the program is to study the ecosystems and their effects of global processes. The critical research done by the USAP is key to understanding human and natural cause and effects on our planetary ecosystem.
Sonic Enclosures designed and manufactured mobile sediment and chemical laboratory Milvans for Raytheon for use on the USAP. The harsh environments made for very in-depth design for transport and human working environment.
Sonic’s extensive engineering and design experience allowed us to manufacture top quality modules that will withstand the Antarctic’s harsh climate.
