Project Specifics
Flow International Corporations UHP (ultrahigh-pressure) pumps are used for surface preparation and industrial cleaning. The pumps use diesel engines for up to 275 HP for pressures up to 55,000 psi. Sonic’s acoustic enclosures provide reduced noise levels, protection from the elements, and security to these high-value pumps and include several convenient access points for serviceability.
Sonic completed the enclosures for this duplicate project quickly and efficiently while using the lessons learned from the original project to incorporate improvements to the design such as light weight custom manufactured louvers in the intake door.
Over 40 years ago, Sonic Enclosures began business making sheet metal enclosures for the Forestry Industry to combat rising concerns with equipment noise hazards for employees. Today we are proud to still produce industry leading Acoustic Dampening Enclosures that are tried and tested to exceed client expectations.
Flow International Corporation gave Sonic enough freedom to make minor adjustments to the construction allowing us to add to the aesthetics and function of the structure. A few examples of these adjustments are:
- Stainless Steel door hardware covers added
- Drip edge flashing and removable hood added
- New louver design added
- Spackle paint finish added
- Fork pockets paint added
